West Indies team declared for five T20 matches series against Australia, this dangerous player gets space

West Indies, which faced a 3–0 embarrassing defeat against Australia in the Test series, have to play a five-match series. Cricket West Indies has announced the team for this series against Australia from July 20 to 28.

The team announced for the T20 series includes 18 -year -old batsman Jewel Andrew and left -handed fast bowler Jediah blades. This head coach is part of Darren Sammy’s effort to make the team for the T20 World Cup 2026.

Head coach Darren Sammy said, “Our goal is to win the T20 World Cup in 2026. Before the World Cup, we will continue to make our playing style and brand better.”

Sammy said, “Our last two T20 series at home ground ended with defeat. We want to re -achieve our form at home against Australia and be ready for next year’s T20 World Cup with a group of talented players.”

Jewel Andrew, who is in the team, is a back-up wicketkeeper batsman. Andrew is known for his ability to play a spin better. At the age of just 18, Andrew is considered to be the most promising young talent of the Caribbean team. He has a good chance to prove his ability on the international stage.

He is accompanied by left -handed fast bowler Zediah Blades, who made his debut in international cricket against Bangladesh in 2024. Blades had received a lot of praise for the new ball -sharp bowling, especially in the powerplay, now he has a chance to prove himself against a strong rival like Australia. Captain Shai is Hope. Apart from this, the team has experiences like Jason Holder, Andre Russell, Akil Hosen and Rowman Powell.
