Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly praised wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant for a brilliant and adventure in the ongoing Test series in England. However, he is out of the final Test decisively due to a fracture in the leg of 27 -year -old Pant.
Pant emerged as one of the best players in India on this tour. He scored 479 runs in seven innings, including two centuries in the first match of the series in Handingley and a 74 -run adventure in the Lord’s Test despite an injury to the Lord’s Test. The ball hit his bat and got into his boot, causing fracture and he had to retired. After this, he returned the next day and played a brilliant half -century of 54 runs despite being in trouble.
Sourav Ganguly also appreciated the team’s efforts, where India batted for more than 140 overs and draws the match. Referring to the centuries who saved the matches of both all -rounders, Ganguly said, “India played good cricket and saved the Test match after batting for more than 140 overs. Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar really performed well.”
