Mandhana had recently joined the top 10 list in the ODI batting rankings. But Mandhana had to wait a six -year long to become the number one batsman in ODIs.
Smriti Mandhana scored a century
There was a recent Tri-Series between India, South Africa and Sri Lanka. In the last match of this series, Smriti Mandhana got a brilliant century. This was the 11th century of Mandhana’s ODI career, which increased the points in Mandhana’s ODI rankings and has become the number one batsman in the world. Smriti Mandhana has played 102 matches so far, out of which 4,473 runs have been scored at an average of 46.59. Mandhana has scored 11 centuries and 31 half -centuries in her ODI career so far.
ICC ODI batting ranking
In the ICC ODI batting rankings, where Smriti is on number-1, Smriti Mandhana is on par with England’s Natalie Sciver-Brunt and South Africa’s Laura Volwards 719 points. At the same time, Amy Jones of England is at number four with 689 points. Ellyse Perry is at number five in the ICC ODI rankings. But due to Smriti Mandhana’s top position, India’s dominance in the ODI rankings has once again established.
