Indian players get a match fee of Rs 15 lakh to play a Test match, but under the ‘Test Cricket Inscent Scheme’, they can earn more money besides match fees.

What is Test cricket incentive scheme?

Under the ‘Test Cricket Inscent Scheme’ implemented by the BCCI in the year 2024, the players who play in the playing XI of 75 percent or more matches played in a season, are given 45 lakh rupees per match in addition to match fees. At the same time, in 75 percent of the matches, the player, who is not selected in the playing XI in the squad, is given Rs 22.5 lakh per match from the match fee.

In the season, the players playing in the playing 11 of 50-75 percent Test matches for India are given Rs 30 lakh per match with 15 lakh match fees. At the same time, the player who is part of the squad in the same percentage matches, but if he does not get a chance in the playing XI, then he gets a separate Rs 15 lakh for each match.
