ECB Ban Transgender women from female cricket: It is just a matter of last year, when there was a fierce controversy over Emman Khalif in Paris Olympics 2024. It was alleged that despite the testosterone level being high, she participated in the women’s boxing event. Now the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has completely banned the entry of transgender women in the women’s cricket team. The ECB has clearly stated that the players who are biologically women will be made part of the team.
ECB also said that transvuman and women can play together in open and mixed categories. According to England media channel BBC, the Supreme Court of the UK ruled that the definition of being a woman is based on organic gender. After this decision, changes have been brought in the rules. Please tell that in this case, the judges have given an 88 -page verdict. This decision was also agreed in the board meeting held on Friday.
Football associations of England and Scotland implemented a new policy on Thursday, under which Trans Woman will not be allowed to play in the women’s football team. On 16 April, the Supreme Court has given this decision under the Equality Act of 2010.
Earlier this was the rule
The England and Wales Cricket Board had earlier banned transvuman from playing Top-2 level tire cricket. This year, Transvuman was also seen playing in women’s cricket in The Hundred League, but now under the new rule, transvuman has been banned from playing in women’s cricket at any level. However, women and transvuman players will be able to play together in open and mixed categories.
