14 -year -old Vaibhav Suryavanshi fails, 17 -year -old Ayush Mhatre scored a century against England

The first youth Test match between India and England Under-19 team is being played at the Kent County Cricket Ground in Bekenham. Vaibhav Suryavanshi could not do anything special in this match. Vaibhav was dismissed for just 14 runs. But Indian Under-19 team captain Ayush Mhatre did wonders. After losing the first wicket early, Ayush played a brilliant century and brought the Indian team to a good position.

Vaibhav failed, Ayush played a century innings

The Indian team won the toss on Saturday and decided to bat first. 14 -year -old Vaibhav and 17 -year -old Ayush came to open for India. Vaibhav made his innings a great start. Vaibhav gave three fours in the first over. But Vaibhav was out in an attempt to play another big shot. Vaibhav scored 14 runs in 13 balls. After Vaibhav was dismissed, the responsibility of handling the team came into the hands of captain Ayush.

Ayush performed the responsibility well. Ayush played more than one best shots in his innings. Ayush did not allow pressure on himself. Ayush was looking to put pressure on the batsmen. Ayush batted at a strike rate of around 89. Ayush scored 102 runs in just 115 balls. Ayush hit 14 fours and two sixes in this innings. This is the first century of Ayush’s youth test career. Ayush completed the century by hitting a four.

After Vaibhav was dismissed, Ayush, along with Vihaan Malhotra, took over the Indian innings. The two together shared 173 runs for the second wicket. Vihaan also scored a tremendous half -century. Vihaan scored 67 runs in 99 balls. Vihaan hit 9 fours and a six in this innings.
