Pakistan’s pattern of defeat has carried over to the Odi series. Through out the Test series Pakistan kept on losing from positions from where thery were absolutely certain to win. Strange batting collapses happened multiple times, the selection of the team and Younis Khan’s decision making has also been quite strange, with in the lines in my last few posts I suspected the possibility of  corruption.

My fellow bloggers completely opposed my views even though most of my predictions came true, I predicted that Younis will not drop Malik and Misbah, I also predicted that Akmal, Misbah and Malik will score in the last match to retain their place in the team, the teams behaviour pattern has become as predictable as a cheap formula film from Bollywood but still nobody wants to admit that these players are under performing deliberately and their poor performance is not due to the factions in the team it is because of corruption.

I don’t want to sound like Sarfraz Nawaz, but this whole drama of collapsing has gone a bit too far.

Younis Khan’s decisions to send Malik as an opener, and  persisting with Misbah despite his multiple poor performances are questionable, Pakistan was chasing a low score and the batting power play was left for the tail enders. First Abdul Rauf embarrased Pakistan’s premier batsmen in the tests now Mohammad Aamer and Umar Gul completely embarrassed them with their 62 runs partnership.

Their have been reports that some suspicious characters approached Younis khan, Malik and Kamran Akmal in their hotel according to a report in a Urdu newspaper the suspicious characters were notorious bookies from Mumbai.

Yawar Saeed first acknowledged that the players were approached later changed the story that the players were only approached for autographs and a cup of coffee.

I am smelling coffee here, it’s high time that PCB higher authorites and ICC’s ACU should also smell this coffee.
