Paksitan has won the toss and elected to bat they made only one change replacing Fawad Alam in place of Salman Butt. It’s surprising that Younis chose to drop Butt instead of Mazoor who dosplayed poor technique in the first match, but I think Younis khan should have the right to play the playing eleven and there should have been some sort of punishment for Butt who have been failing consistently.

I still believe that the place belonged to Razzak but Younis showed more confidence in Fawad, I hope Fawad capitalizes on this chance so that he can cement his place in the team. Fawad has earned this place because of his consistent performance in the domestic tournaments and with Pakistan’s A team.

The wicket is reported to assist the seamers on the first day so Younis Khan’s decision to bat first is kind of surprising, Danish Kineria is again left out, I am not surprised at his exclusion but I do wonder why he was selected in the first place.

This match is probably the last chance for Malik to retain his place in the test squad he will have to perform or else in the next match he will be making way for Razzak.

Pakistan’s chances in this match will largely depend on how Yousaf and Younis bat. They will also expect a better performance from Umar Gul. Gul hasn’t performed well in test matches in a long time

Khurram just got out, he again displayed poor technique and edged a straight forward delivery.

Younis Khan is also gone. It was a soft dismissal there was no need to play this ball, it was too far outside the offstump and Younis tried to cut it and played it on. Pakistan are 6/2.

As I said the decision to bat first was surprising for me.

Pakistan are 20/4 the top order is back in pavillion, the ball is moving a lot it was a poor judgement by Younis Khan.
