Pakistan is mercurial, Pakistan is inconsistent, Pakistan blow it hot and blow it cold, Pakistan is becoming a minnow cricket nation, Pakistan can only beat minnows, these are the sound bites we have been hearing  about Pakistan cricket team from cricket pundits since last two years.

When this tournament started nobody gave Pakistan team the margin of what they have gone through in the last two years, they were almost isolated in the cricket world and were seriously short of International exposure, nobody gave them the margin that their captain  was struggling to find the right combination and the players couldn’t tone themselves to the pace and intensity of T20 cricket at international level, they were the dark horses of the tournament, when the tournament began the cricket world gave them no respect and completely discounted them off, that was a big mistake. “Never Under estimate Pakistan in T20 cricket” Pakistan has the best record in this format.

They were finalists in the last T20 WC and are in the finals again and thats no fluke, I think the tags of mercurial, inconsistent and un professional truly belong to New zealand and England who fail every time when they face a big hurdle in a big tournament, and one can also include West Indies in that list. South Africa are consistent at choking in semi finals and Australia is consistent in losing these days so they should be left alone.

Cricket pundits from the western media are quiet now because they are sufferring from foot in mouth syndrome I hope they have learned their lesson of not to discount and disrespect Pakistan’s cricket team they are a major force in the cricket world and In T20 they are the biggest force. 

Pakistan and Sri Lanka will face each other in the finals, both teams are linked through Lahore tragedy, and both want it really bad for fans back home, both teams have similar strengths and weaknesses, Pakistan looks stronger though but SriLankan team is running high on confidence.

SriLanka banks too much on their openers if Pakistan got them out early they will be victorious. If SriLankan openers gave them a good start they will be victorius.
