ICC should fine Vettori
Daniel Vettori made a fool out of himself when he launched an official complaint against Umar Gul for ball tempering with match refree Ranjan Madugalle.
According to reports, the Kiwi captain had lodged a complaint with the match referee Ranjan Madugalle asking him to hold an inquiry into how Gul had obtained so much reverse swing.
Madugalle had declined Vettori’s request insisting there was no evidence to suggest that the Pakistan team might have tampered with the ball.
Vettori in an effort to substantiate his claim said that” he had not seen anyone reverse swing the ball so much in the 12th over of a match. ”
Well dumb ass your team has always been a borderline minnow, your team comprises of bits and pieces players who are not as talented as the Pakistanis, try to learn the art rather than levelling baseless accusations.
Vettori is renowned to be a sore loser and has a history of lodging these complaints against opposition players after losing. ICC should hold an inquiry as to what led him to believe that Umar was ball tempering other than the fact that Vettori in his pathetic career has never seen anybody move the ball in the 12th over. It should be made an example out of him so that nobody employs such tactics in future to put an opposition player under pressure. ayer.
Vettori’s team was humiliated and their performance against Pakisan ranks worse than the minnows.

I can’t believe he said that cos Gul has been doing it for a while now. Malinga does it, Steyn too.. so has Vettori not been watching cricket? Also he must have seen Gul reversing it in 2007.. Maybe he needs to tell his batsmen to stop reversing their bats while at the crease!
Vettori is a sore loser.

Hats off to Gul who didn’t get under pressure when the umpires were checking the ball after every delivery and kept on delivering his laser guided bombs.
I don’t agree with Younis Khan when he said that don’t try to embarass Pakistan, he should have said don’t embarass your self and your country by becoming a sore loser and by using these petty tactics to put opponents under pressure psychologically. His complaint was a motivated attempt to disrupt Umar Gul’s rythym and to put Pakistan team under pressure psychologically. It was also an attempt to tell the world that Pakistan cannot beat us unless they cheat, I think the blogging community should hammer the kiwis and Vettori for using these petty tactics.
How conveniently he has said that I have put the issue behind me, what about all the undue pressure he created when he complained to the on field umpires . I think ICC should investigate the basis of his accusation and fine him for charging the opposing team with a baseless accusation.

Vettori is a sore loser and I have lost all respect for him. The kiwis will be embarassed again tommorrow by SriLanka.
I agree with you Wasim. I think Vettori should be fined. They can’t get away with statements like that.
Just as I predicted SriLanka has knocked the Pathetic Kiwis out of the tournament and put an end to Vettori’s miseries.

It makes a change that the ICC told him to go away. In the past they would have probably raised the issue i.e. send some sort of warning to us that they’ll be watching. Maybe they were just afraid of another Oval fiasco. Ranjan Madugalle did well though.
It wasn’t as if it was big swing anyway. Just enough to beat the bat. The more vital three components were pace, line and length.
