Despite the fact that Pakistan got Jayasuriya and Sangakara early SriLanka still managed to pile up a total of 290/8, Dilshan who survived a very close lbw call in Shoiab Akhtars first over resurrected the Srilankan innings he was helped by a short and wayward spell by Shoaib Akhtar and Sohail Tanvir, both bowlers kept on giving width and bowled too short, Dilshan accepted all the gifts from Shoaib and Tanvir with thanks.

Shoaib Only bowls in 130′s he can’t afford to bowl the short pitched deliveries anymore he is struggling to find his length and should be axed from the next match.

Tanvir is bowling only a touch faster than Afridi, the speed radar was clocking him consistently around 120 he was bowling too short and too wide on top of that he can’t control the extras.

Both of these bowlers should be rested in the next match.

Umar Gul and Rao were again the star bowlers for Pakistan Gul took 4/58 and Rao took 1/42, Gul was a bit expensive today he was not getting his yorkers to pitch right and got hit for several boundaries.

Todays match was played on a different pitch than yesterday’s, the pitch had a bit of grass and was supposed to help the bowlers earlier on but Pakistani bowlers failed to capitalize.

290 is a huge total for a weak Pakistani batting line up, I think Srilanka will win todays match comfortably.
