Batting first Federal Areas were restricted to 218 in 49.1 over by Punjab Stallions.
Wahab Riaz took five wickets, Talha took two and both Sarfraz Ahmed and Shoaib malik took one each, Malik was the most economical bowler gave away just 3.5 runs per over.
Raheel Majeed fell cheaply to Sarfraz when was at 4, Babar Naeem and Umar Amin tried to restore the innings but Babar got out trying to sweep malik when he was on 39 and looking good, Abdu Rehman took the wicket of newcomer Afaq Raheem he was clean bowled and the Federal Areas team which was 65/2 all of a sudden became 67/3.
Mohammad Salman and Usman Saeed both had a partnership with Umar Amin but just when things started looking good for Federal Areas the Stallions took a wicket, after 39 overs they were 171 /5 Umar Amin was still at the crease with Yasir Arafat, and Shoaib Akhtar , Sohail Tanvir and Rao Iftikhar were yet to bat, Wahab Riaz and Talha took over the match at this stage and removed the remaining batsmen just 9 overs none of the top gun could score in double figures.
It appears as if Nasir jamshed and inform Azhar Ali will make a short work of this match after 17overs the scoe is 91, Jamshed is batting at 55 from 50 balls and Azhar Ali is batting at 34 of 53 balls, Shoaib Akhtar bowled quite fast but was severely punished by Nasir Jamshed who was in ominous form, Akhtar in the end proved to be quite expensive giving away 29 runs of his first four overs.
