A CLASSY half-century from Younus Khan has helped South Australia hang on for a draw with New South Wales in the Sheffield Shield match at Adelaide Oval.
The Redbacks were 5-300 at stumps on the final day, 37 runs ahead of NSW on aggregate. NSW took first innings points after amassing 576 in reply to the Redbacks’ first innings of 313.
Younus, in his debut first-class match for SA, made a composed 71 not out, following a first ball duck in the first innings.
The Pakistani’s innings followed a solid 122-run second wicket partnership between Dan Harris and Michael Klinger.
Harris (63) and Klinger (74) batted through the morning session to take the sting out of the Blues, who began the final day needing nine wickets for outright victory.

Thanks NC.
