Nehra is pumped up, he is in good form. He has gained some pace. 10 runs came off his first over Gambhir struck a cracking drive off his last ball.

Pollock is redeeming himself he has bowled 5 dot balls so far in his second over, pressure is building up on Dhawan, He hits a six on the last ball and its 35/1 after 3 overs.

Delhi will try to get the most out of the first six overs . Three runs came from Nehra’s second over its hard to score of him he is quick and is also moving the ball.

Nel coming in to ball, the first one is struck for a four, the second one is hit for a SIX, down on one knee Gambhir slices it above the fielder on deep square leg, and Nel can’t believe it. Gambhir is gone, Nel took revenge huge blow for DDD poor shot from Gambhir he failed to clear the field. DDD is in trouble now.

DDD are in a hole right now, Mumbai is on top it will be hard for them to come back from this position the RR is climbing up its 9.8 at the moment.

Karthik played the innings of his life scoring 56 off 32 balls and Mahroof scoring 20 off 13 balls, in the end DDD clinched a thriller and kept their hopes alive, it was a must win situation for them now MI and Chennai will have to win their remaining matches if they have to qualify for the Semis.

Pollock and Nel proved to be too expensive giving away 33 and 31 runs respectively in three overs.

Delhi held their nerves and their local players kept them in the hunt, they survived an earlier scare when Smith took two wickets in two balls and sent Dilshan and Dhawan back to the pavilion.

Delhi won the toss and elected to bat, the wicket its 70/0 after 7 overs, Jayasuriya is on roll the wicket is perfect for batting, its a do or die situation for Delhi, they brought in Geeves as the fifth bowler, Asif is still injured he got 4 stitches on his finger except for Mahroof everbody else has been thrashed by jayasuriya , poor bowling by Geeves who bowled to up on a dead pitch which has no movement in it, Jayasuriya is hitting everything which is pitched up, the best shot he played was off McGrath who pitched one on good length and brought the ball slightly back as he saw Jayasuriya was not miving his feet and just hitting through the line, jayasuriya played the ball late and glanced it on the fineleg for four, McGrath couldn’t believe it, its a clash of titans.

Tendulkar is out bowled by Yomahesh trying to work a straighter one on the onside and missing it, he got out on 18 D.Smith is the new man in, after 10 overs it is 81/1 Jayasuriya is batting on 51, the umpires turned down two ver confident appeals for lbw one against Jayasuriya and the other one against Smith, DDD IMO were a bit unlucky, 11th over is in progress Geeves is getting punished 15 from the over.

12 overs are bowled 11 runs came of it, Yomahesh took another wicket Smith just got out, holed it out on long off, its 107/2, Uthappa is the new man, Jayasuriya will have to bat till end.

The 14 over is in progress and Jayasuriya just got out tried to come down the wicket and hit Mishra out of the park but was caught on the boundary. Two good overs for DDD just 7 runs were given and two important wickets were taken. The out of form Uthappa should not have been sent up he kept the strike and broke the momentum.

Geeves comes in and takes a wicket of A Nayyer, thats a huge blow Nayyer was the man in form for Mumbai, Geeves redeemed himself a bit he gave away 41 runs in his first three overs. Now Uthappa is trying to redeem he struck two consecutive fours off Geeves, its 123/4 after 15 overs.

Mishra just finished off his spell giving away only 5 runs in his last over, end of a wonderful spell he turned things around for DDD.

Its 137/4 after 17 overs at least 40 runs should come from the last three, its a batting wicket a score of 180 will be challenging.

Pollock gone, Mahroof cleaned him up after hitting him for a four off a french cut, he tried to heave a slower one missed completely. Its 145/5 after 18 overs, only two overs are left, Uthappa has to take on McGrath who is coming to bowl his last over.

Three boundaries were struck by Uthappa in this over, 16 runs came off from this over.

Last over is going to be bowled by YoMahesh, Chitnis came down the wicket and Yo mahesh banged it short, he is gone caught in the deep. Uthappa hit two staright sixes off the bowling of Yo mahesh and took his team to 176 scoring 46 off 23 ball, a poor end to a good bowling spell by YoMahesh he could have taken 5 wickets Sehwag dropped Uthappa on the last ball. Geeves was expensive gave away 50 runs in his 4 overs, McGrath gave away 39 and Mahroof gave away 27, Mishra was economical gave away only 23 runs.

Delhi has the batting strength to achieve this target, but it all depends on Mumbai’s pace attack, lets see if they can defend this total. It will be Sehwag and Gambhir against Nehra and Pollock.
