Anwar Ali and Sohail Khan destroy Baluchistan

 Anwar Ali and Sohail Khan took 7 wickets each in a low scoring match against Balochistan, Sind conceded a first-innings lead of 48, but fast bowler Sohail Khan ripped through Balochistan’s batting line up in their second innings and took 6/21 his partner Anwar Ali who took 4 wickets in the first innings took 3/12 and Balochistan were bundled out for a paltry total of 42.

The wicket was helpful to fast bowlers Sohail removed Nos 1-4 for 3,2,1 and 0 respectively. Anwar Ali added three wickets to his tally of four in the first innings, and Baluchistan found themselves at an embarrassing 17 for 7.

Balochistan were missing their two fast bowlers Kamran Hussain and Abdul Rauf who reportedly got injured in the last match and were not playing this match both teams showed a very mediocre display of batting, this match clearly shows the vulnerability of Pakistani batsmen on tracks which assist fast bowlers and emphasizes the need to prepare more tracks like this in the country so that the batsmen get fully equipped and trained to bat under such challenging conditions.

NWFP posts a mammoth total

Rafat Ullah and Yasir Hameed scored centuries on the first day to set a platform for a mammoth total at close the score was 342 for 3, Khurram Shezad and Aftab Alam resumed the innings at 53 and 64 respectively, Khurram failed to add any run to his overnight tally but Aftab converted his 64 to an unbeaten 178, he was ably supported by Younis khan who scored 59, Federal Areas bowlers failed to get wickets on regular intervals, and allowed NWFP to post a huge total of 573.

At close Federal Areas team was trailing by 516 runs with 8 wickets in hand.

Update:

The match has been drawn Bazid Khan was the star performer for  Federal areas he scored 170in the first innings and scored another 100 in the second innings after being followed on, his total aggregate so far in the tournament is 467 only trailing Salman Butt by a few runs he has scored three centuries so far and all of them were scored under pressure and were match saving innings.

If NWFP wins this match then it will be a must win situation for Punjab in the next two matches if they have to stay in the tournament.
